Our Full-Grain Leather
Our oil tanned leather is incredibly easy to care for. With time and use, the natural oils in the leather will rise to the surface, developing a beautiful patina and smoothing any scuffs or scratches that may have accumulated. Learn more about caring for your new leather product.
Our full-grain leather is the strongest and most durable available, and the unique texture and natural imperfections from the cow’s life have not been sanded, cut or shaved off. Full-grain is SIX times stronger than Buffed, Upholstery or Genuine leather.
Please note that our pebbled leather, like all of our leather, is a natural product. You may notice changes in grain or texture throughout your bag. Other companies artificially press a pebble texture into their leather. However, the pebbling of our leather is achieved naturally through an extra tumbling process which leaves some areas of the hide smoother than others.

I had a very fun time with this medium crossbody +4 mystery box. My main bag is tulip, which is a color outside of what I would usually pick for myself, since I usually convince myself that neutral colors are more practicala. Thisis a great way for me to branch out. Pleased with the other items as well--some will be gifts, and this makeup bag in havana was immediately put to use.

I didn’t really think I would enjoy a mystery box. I thought I would rather just buy what I want. After choosing my own items for a few months— I spontaneously decided to order a mystery box and settled on the medium CB one. I had NO IDEA how exciting it would be!! From stalking the tracking, to opening the box —it was exhilarating! Everything in the box was lovely. The MB is a cool and exciting way to get bags that aren’t available on the site. It’s also cheaper than buying the items individually. I would absolutely do it again and actually, my best friend and I just split a 3+8 tote MB and had a blast opening it together with a custom playlist and sushi. We even made an unboxing video. If you’re tempting to try a mystery box—go for it!

Tulip unicorn is a very earthy rose pink color and buttery soft, the Reef makeup bag is Devine! Just those 2 things alone make it worth it. I will be buying one again in the future! Love this MB! The colors are gorgeous. And it smells amazing. I usually use a smaller purse; the medium CB will be the first one I've tried that's this big. I received: Classic Medium Crossbody in Kiwi? Avocado? (it’s darker than Kiwi but lighter than Avocado), Eclipse in Plum, Sidekick in Nutmeg, Passport Holder in Black, Card Case/Minimalist Wallet in Blue Steel. The leather is so soft and the quality is incredible.

Great variety. I ordered a medium CB mystery box. I loved everything in that box. All different colors. Great starter set.
This was my first purchase ever from Portland Leather, and I think it is a great intro buy if you are flexible to colors. I ordered the 1 medium tote + 4 items and I ended up with a beautiful, brushed navy tote and all the small items coordinated in the color scheme (jewel tones). I liked that the small items were very diverse - a small bag, a journal cover, a multiple card holder with a snap, and a sleeve for a work badge or ID. All had different textures so you really got an idea of the types of leather PLG sells and all of it was crafted great. Would highly recommend.
I ordered the Mystery Box containing the medium cross body bag and the smalls. I kept my fingers crossed that I would like the color of the bag and I did! The medium crossbody is a gorgeous plum color and I like all the smalls. What a fun buy!!!
I received my mystery box as a Christmas gift and it was better than I'd imagined. The bag was a perfect plum color and came with a pink eclipse makeup bag, a grizzly sidekick pouch. and a black envelope wallet. I'm not sure what the 4th item was called as I've never seen it on the site, but it appears to be a sleeve with a handle on the side to put around a coffee cup. This was my first experience with Portland leather products and I'm already addicted!
This box was really nice. I got a plum bag which was in perfect condition. My littles were nice too. Except I think there were only 3.
